Other Local Music Organizations

Three Rivers Folklife Society is not alone. The following organizations contribute to local musical culture through idioms that often overlap ours.

Washington Old Time Fiddlers Association (Locally, District 12) provides musical entertainment for nursing homes, retirement homes, social organizations, civic functions, schools, and to the Benton-Franklin Fair. Also plays concerts for a small donation.

Battelle Staff Association concert series. For information, contact Andy Plymale at 509-308-4065 or bsamusic@hotmail.com.

Tri-Cities Drum Circle Monthly gatherings are open to drumming newbies and drumming veterans alike. All ages are welcome, but anyone under 15 must be accompanied by a legal guardian. Events are free and non-commercial. Everyone who attends them does so for the sheer fun of sharing the heartbeat. Some things in life are like that.

Footloose Dance Club sponsors a variety of social dances in the Tri-Cities. Their Web site also provides information on other area dances and dance classes.
